GIS Duo Cavity Socks

Our GIS Duo cavity stop socks are designed to suit both masonry/blockwork and masonry/timber frame MF systems in construction applications, and, during and after the manufacturing process, they are rigorously tested to ensure they meet current accreditations.

The cavity fire stop socks are manufactured from Knauf ECOSE mineral wool using Knauf ECOSE Rock Slab due to it’s fire classification, and they are encapsulated in recycled plastic so they don’t add to the propagation of a fire. These qualities make them ideal for cavity insulation.

As well as the fire resistance of cavity stop socks, there are many additional benefits. Construction Megastore’s cavity stop socks provide 1-4 hours fire resistance, depending on the thickness of the sock. Not only do cavity stop socks prevent smoke and flames, they also reduce the spread of sound.
