Libra Furring Runner is a concealed metal system for suspended ceilings where no visible joints are required. It has been designed to allow the contractor to produce a ceiling that has a conventional plaster appearance. The impression is created by using the Furring Runner metal concealed system onto which plasterboard is directly fixed. This also allows a variety of decorations to be applied to the surface. For applications where hygiene is of prime importance, particularly in the medical field, the ceiling can be left smooth. Items such as light fittings, access panels and ventilation units are easily accommodated within the Furring Runner system.
Metal Framework Components
MF6A Perimeter Channel / Edge Trim: Fixed around the walls to support the perimeter of the ceiling grid.
MF7 Primary Support Channel: The main load-bearing channel that spans the room and hangs from the overhead structure.
MF5 Top Hat Furring Section: The secondary lower framework that clips perpendicular to the MF7 channels to hold the plasterboard.
MF9 Connecting Clips / Furring Clips: Spring clips that lock the MF5 furring sections underneath the MF7 primary channels
MF8 Strap Hangers: Alternative suspension options used to reduce vibration and improve sound insulation.
