Our GIS Duo cavity stop socks are designed to suit both masonry/blockwork and masonry/timber frame MF systems in construction applications, and, during and after the manufacturing process, they are rigorously tested to ensure they meet current accreditations.

The cavity fire stop socks are manufactured from Knauf ECOSE mineral wool using Knauf ECOSE Rock Slab due to it’s fire classification, and they are encapsulated in recycled plastic so they don’t add to the propagation of a fire. These qualities make them ideal for cavity insulation.

Where do you need cavity barriers?

You should install cavity barriers near the edges of internal cavities, such as window and door openings or extract vents. They can also be installed at junctions where wall cavities are aligned with a wall or floor.

Can cavity stop socks work in multiple cavity sizes?

Our cavity stop socks are designed to fit many spaces, with thickness varying from 9mm increments to 20mm increments, making them perfect for every space.

Do cavity stop socks meet building regulations?

All of our cavity stop socks are designed to meet all British fire safety building regulations, and provide up to 4 hours fire resistance.
